Mastic or sudurus is an amalgam of old-cut amber (1920-1940) and other materials, such as bakelite, rosin, and turpentine, which was made in Persia. It is quite resistant to shocks compared to amber and much heavier. Even though it is not 100% amber, it is of similar value, due to its antiquity and rarity.
