Ebony is a kind of precious wood that is typically black or dark brown. It is solid, hard and heavy. Ebony is used to manufacture musical instruments and decorative objects. It usually comes from trees of the Diospyros genus, but the name ebony is also used to refer to other heavy wood of black colour. Ebony is so heavy that it sinks in fresh water.
Prudent use of this komboloi is recommended.
Note: Beads crafted from carved ebony wood may naturally display grain lines, pores, or small surface cavities. These are entirely natural characteristics that further attest to the authenticity of the material.
