Mastic Sudurus Komboloi – AB0071
Sundurus mastic is a rare and historic material, highly valued by collectors and enthusiasts of authentic komboloi. Its origin traces back to Persia, where it was produced during the first half of the 20th century (1920–1940) as a distinctive blend of high aesthetic and aromatic value.
It is a material composed of old-cut amber combined with traditional ingredients such as bakelite, colophony, and turpentine, which enhance the unique fragrance, gloss, and weight of the final product.
Features:
– Smooth and glossy to the touch, with a surface that becomes shinier with use, without developing a patina.
– Significantly heavier than common amber, adding a sense of prestige and solidity to the touch.
– More resistant to impact compared to natural materials, making it ideal for daily use in komboloi and begleri.
