The latter often appears as golden sparkling specks on the surface of the stone and is one of the elements that adds to the beauty and uniqueness of this precious gemstone. Etymologically, Lapis means “stone” in Latin. The second word comes from the Persian word Lazuar, which again means “stone” in Persian.
