Handmade komboloi made of 33 hawk’s eye beads, each 10 mm in diameter, threaded on a highly durable cord.

Tiger’s eye is a translucent variety of quartz, with a golden yellow colour. It exhibits a characteristic linear iridescence like a moving iridescence. These lines are golden and brown in colour and their composition is fibrous granulite. This very characteristic visual phenomenon is known by the French word chatoyancy, which in Greek means “cat’s eye”. Tiger’s eye is found in the USA, South Africa, Namibia, Brazil. A quality of tiger’s eye in a darker colour is called “falcon’s eye” where it is a deep blue colour and there is also “bull’s eye” , which is deep red.
All minerals used for the creation of our kombolois are mostly gemstones used to craft jewelry. Handle this komboloi with care. Inclusions, cracks and breakage surfaces are a natural phenomenon and should never be associated with wear and tear.
