Ebony is a kind of precious wood that is typically black or dark brown. It is solid, hard and heavy. Ebony is used to manufacture musical instruments and decorative objects. It usually comes from trees of the Diospyros genus, but the name ebony is also used to refer to other heavy wood of black colour. Ebony is so heavy that it sinks in fresh water.
Prudent use of this komboloi is recommended.
Note: The ebony wood beads with camel bone may display natural grain lines, pores, or small surface cavities. These are not signs of wear or defects, but natural characteristics of the material.
They are entirely natural and attest to the authenticity of the material.
