Mastic or Sudurus or misketa is a mixture of old-cut amber (1920-1940) and other materials, such as bakelite, rosin, and turpentine, made in Persia. It is quite impact-resistant compared to amber and considerably heavier. Even though it is not pure amber, it has a similar value due to the age and rarity of the original material.
Inclusions, cracks, and surface fractures are natural characteristics and should under no circumstances be associated with wear or damage.
