Sardonyx is a variety of chalcedony, combining alternating layers of sard and onyx. It is distinguished by its characteristic banded appearance, featuring tones of red, brown, white, and black. Since antiquity, it has been highly valued, particularly in signet rings, cameos, and men’s jewellery.

Lustre: Waxy to vitreous
